Mr. Barksdale died October 4, 2007 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born July 18, 1948, in Thomasville, he was the son of the late Pleasy Junice ?P.J.? and Margaret Thompson Barksdale. Mr. Barksdale was a United States Supervisory Compliant Officer of the United States Federal Government and a veteran of the US Army. His two greatest loves were fishing and having his family together. Survivors include son, Christopher Lawrence Barksdale and wife, Valerie of Carlton; daughter, Margaret Lynn Barksdale and Neal of Thomasville and Jessica June Sims of Danielsville; 8 grandchildren; beloved sister, Louvennia B. Roland of Tallahassee, Fla.; and nieces, Cheryl Anne Taylor and husband, Mike of Thomasville and Pamela Denise Edwards and husband Ricky of Tallahassee, Fla. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lewis Hall Singletary Oncology Center, 116 Mimosa Drive, Thomasville, GA. 31792.
