Clyde Benjamin Barton Sr., 63, of Pavo, passed away on July 31, 2024, at his residence in Pavo, surrounded by his loved ones. Clyde was born on March 8, 1961, in Macclenny, Florida to Martin "Monk" Jr. and Mary Louise Griffth Barton.
Clyde pursued a diverse array of professions, including roles as an asbestos remover, frame carpenter, maintenance supervisor in housing, and plumber's helper. He graduated from Baker County High. In his leisure time, Clyde found solace in hunting big game elk and muledeer on Aspen Ridge in Colorado, horseback riding, and hiking.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Shirley Joann Barton of Pavo, his children Clyde Benjamin Barton Jr. of Helena, Ga, and Emily Ann Manning Barton of El Segundo, Ca, along with four cherished grandchildren. Clyde is also survived by his siblings Martin Barton III of Pavo, Iassc Holt of Dallas, Ga, Regenia Bryant of Thomasville, Seleba Morris of Sanderson, Fl, and George Barton of Sanderson, Fl, and his daughter-in-law, Amber Barton. He is preceded in death by his parents, one sister, one brother, and one granddaughter.
Services will be held at 1 pm Saturday, August 3, 2024, at Faith Baptist Church in Macclenny, Florida, 604 W Macclenny Ave 32068
