Curtis Simpson Brown, 67, of Thomasville passed away at his home on June 30, 2020 after a brief illness. Born October 22, 1952 in Thomasville, GA, Curtis was the son of the late Robert Curtis and Frances Simpson Brown. He graduated from Thomasville High School in 1970. His career began in sales with Georgia Chemical Company. After attending Gupton-Jones Mortuary School in Atlanta, GA, Curtis worked for Kirkland Croy Hughes Funeral Home. Later he was employed in the timber industry with Secrest Pulpwood Company, Canal Wood Company and Mitchell Industries as an Area Forester. Like his father, Curtis was also an avid hunter and fisherman. After retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his daughter and grandchildren. Curtis is survived by his daughter, Claire Marie Brown Westberg and two granddaughters, Caroline Ann Westberg and Alice Marie Westberg. He is further survived by his sister, Charlotte Frances Brown, cousins, other relatives, and close friends. Curtis is preceded in death by his brother, Carl Ralph Brown.
