Funeral service for Rev. Curtis A. Eason, 83 of Thomasville will be at 6:00 PM on Tuesday July 25, 2017 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Jimmy Clanton, Talmadge Folsom and Ronnie Whittle will officiate and interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mr. Eason died on July 22, 2017 in Thomasville. Born December 7, 1933 in Berrien Co., Georgia, he was the son of the late Norman and Susie Sutton Eason. He was married for 64 years to Lillian Folsom Eason, who survives. Mr. Eason was retired from Sunnyland and also worked with Harden’s Taxidermy and was a bi-vocational minister. He enjoyed coaching at the YMCA for many years and is still fondly remembered by many of his former players. Mr. Eason was a member of First Baptist Church. Also surviving is a son Randy Eason and his wife Stephanie of Thomasville, a daughter, Rhonda Carson and her husband Bob of Boston, grandchildren, Curt Eason, Allison Eason, Jess Eason and great grandchildren, Colton Eason, Hudson Eason, and Eva Grace Eason. A brother, Charles Eason of Panama City, Florida and an Uncle, Talmadge Sutton of Nashville, Georgia; sister in law Bea Folsom of Adel, Georgia also survive. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter Haley Eason, and two brothers, Jerry Willis Eason and Freddie Norman Eason. Memorial donations may be made to Gideon’s International, P O Box 2361, Thomasville, GA 31799. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at Allen & Allen.
