Curtis Hayes White

Services for Curtis Hayes White, 82 of Ray City, Georgia will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at Abundant Life Church of God in Valdosta. Rev. Wayne Hughes will officiate. Mr. White passed away September 28, 2015 at his residence. Born September 22, 1933 in Perdido, Alabama, he was the son of the late Fred W. White and Amy C. Folmer White. He was married to Bobbie L. Nelson White, who survives. Mr. White was a veteran of the United States Navy and was an electronic technician for NASA and FAA. He received multiple rewards from the Navy and NASA and had a lifelong membership with the Handyman Club of America. He enjoyed woodworking and had much love for his family and friends. Other survivors include his children, Becky Donathan and husband Dean of Thomasville, Rodney White and wife Daisy of Ray City, Cindy Wilcox and husband Bill of Glenn Allen, Virginia; grandchildren, Brandi & Chris Miranda, Danny White, Derek & Sherri White, Tia & Richard Dudley, Patrick & Cassie O’Neal, Ryan Porch and Amy & Jesse Brown; great grandchildren, Christian Miranda, Aiden Miranda, Abbie O’Neal, Preston White and Ethan Meaux; brother, Fred White of Brewton, Alabama; sister-in-laws, Dot Runyan and Janie Nelson both of Tennessee. He was preceded in death by brothers & sisters, John M. White, Leatha White Milstead, Susie Mae White, EvD Dove, Aubret White, Everette White and Preston White.
