Daisy Lucille (Peggy) Griffin

Services for Daisy Lucille (Peggy) McEver Griffin, lovingly known as “Doll”, 88, of Thomasville, will be at 11:00AM on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Big Ochlocknee Baptist Church. The Rev. Ralph Fudge will officiate and interment will be in Big Ochlocknee Cemetery. Grandsons will be pallbearers. Mrs. Griffin died November 27, 2016 in Gainesville, FL. Born May 27, 1928 in Hall County, GA she was the daughter of the late Hurbert and Florence Carter McEver. She was married to Bernice Edward (Mutt) Griffin who preceded her in death. She was a dedicated member of Big Ochlocknee Baptist Church where she enjoyed playing the piano for services. Mrs. Griffin was a retired buyer for Belk Hudson. She loved flowers, gardening, watching birds out of her window and playing the piano. She had a great love for her family and was loved by many. Survivors include sons and daughter-in-law, Ronny and Barbara Griffin, John and Judy Griffin all of Coolidge, Steve and Diane Griffin of Thomasville, daughter and son-in-law, Kitty and Charles Hardman of Thomasville, grandchildren, Kelly and Josh Smith, Chris and Henry Ray, Dusty and Stephanie Griffin, Sean and Amanda Griffin, Matt and Shawna Griffin, Brett Griffin, Anna Griffin, Ashley and Diane Singletary, Tanner and Jayna Singletary, Victoria Singletary and Charles and Grace Hardman,II, 20 great grandchildren, brother, Robert McEver, Jr of Talmo, GA, brother and sister-in-law, Wylie and Shirley McEver of Lake Lanier, GA, sister and brother-in-law, Racheal and Rex Farmer of Clermont, GA and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers, Joe Carter McEver, Lloyd McEver and sister, Sarah Kinney. Memorials may be made to Big Ochlocknee Baptist Church,1757 Bee Line Rd, Coolidge, GA 31738.
