Services for Dan Singletary Jr., 65, of Ochlocknee are at 11:00a.m. Monday February 17, 2003 at Victory Baptist Church. The Rev. Gary Holland and Rev. Randy Blow will officiate. Interment is at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mr. Singletary was an Army veteran and was a supervisor at U.S. Filter. He was also an instructor at Southwest Georgia Area Technical College. He was a member of Westside Baptist Church. On October 3, 1986 he married Montine McNeil Singletary who survives. He was the son of the late Robert Issac Singletary and Mandy Knapp Singletary. Survivors include sons Danny and Scott Singletary both of Thomasville. Sons Lee Singletary of Ochlocknee and Brad Pilkinton of Coolidge. Daughters include Ramona Singletary of Coolidge, Page Whittington of California, Dana Pilkinton of Norman Park, Renee Sheffield of Ochlocknee, Pam Pilkinton of Thomasville and Sherri Moore of Thomasville. Brothers include Leroy Singletary of Bradenton, FL, Jimmy Singletary of Ochlocknee, Wayne Singletary of Cape Coral, FL and Lamar Singletary of Alma, GA. Other survivors include sisters Olene Berry of Bradenton, FL, and Mott Butler of Americus, GA. Stepparents Russell & Louise Strickland and his special companion Myre. Mr. Singletary had 20 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Pallbearers are Andre Cooper, Willie Hill, Jamie Murphy, Paul Cooper, Wandell Hobbs, and Billy Benton.
