Graveside services for Dana Gwynn Burnette Godwin, 33 of Thomasville are 2:00 pm, Friday, November 19, 2010 at Big Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Mitch Clements will officiate. Ms. Godwin died November 14, 2010 in Elkton, VA. Born September 10, 1977 in Moultrie, Ga, she was the daughter of Marcus Clinton Burnette and Joyce Benton Blackwell. She was of the Baptist faith and a lover of cats and antiques. Survivors include mother & step-father, Joyce & Dan Blackwell of Thomasville, father & step-mother, Mark & Sherry Burnette of Meigs; paternal grandparents, H.C. & Frankie Nell Burnette of Coolidge; sister, Donna Burnette Mies of Virginia; step-sisters, Kerri White of Meigs, Shannon Robinson of Moultrie and Sommer Sloan of Thomasville; nephews, Zachary & Brian Burnette. She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Rufus Felton & Jessie H Benton and brother, Clint Burnette.
