Services for Danny Abbott, 48, of Pavo, are at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2009, at Allen and Allen Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Larry Harris will officiate. Mr. Abbott died Sept. 27 at Grady General Hospital in Cairo. Born, Feb. 18, 1961, in Melbourne, Fla., he was the son of the late Junior Ray Abbott and Doris Lamar Mitchell of Brevard, North Carolina, who survives. On Oct. 18, 2007, in Thomasville, he married Brenda Merlock Abbott, who survives. Other survivors include children, Melissa Loray Abbott of Orlando, Fla., Kimberly Danielle McClish and husband, Michael of Orlando, Fla., Taylor Daniel of Camden County, Ga., Matthew Daniel Abbott of Pavo; step-children, Philip Michael Bossio of Miami, Fla., John Albert Tarr of Miami, Fla.; grandchildren, Stasha Abbott of Orlando, Fla., McKala McClish of Orlando, Fla., Breden McClish of Orlando, Fla.; brothers, Jimmy Ray Abbott of Clanton, Ala., Rex Junior Abbott of Birmingham, Ala., Andrew Kevin Abbott of Orlando, Fla.; half brother, Robby Talcom Wright of Brevard, N.C.; half sister, Angelia Evon Wright of Brevard, N.C. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., on Tuesday before the service.
