David Tullis Dupriest, 83, of Thomasville, Georgia, passed away on September 2, 2026. Born on September 17, 1942, in Donalsonville, Georgia, the son of Dorothy and Beck Dupriest. He is survived by his devoted wife of 25 years, Terry McLeod Dupriest.

David was raised in Columbus, Georgia, graduated from Baker High School, and attended Columbus College. He worked for Bellsouth in Thomasville for 38 and a half years and served six years in the National Guard. As a young man, he enjoyed playing on local industrial league softball teams. After retirement, he played golf regularly with a group of his close friends. He and his wife Terry enjoyed taking a number of trips in the US, Canada, and Europe. David was a member of Dawson Street Baptist Church and the men's Sunday school class there. David was known as a good man. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. David was a man of integrity, kindness, and friendliness.

He is survived by his wife Terry, brother, John Dupriest, son, Mark Dupriest, and daughter Cheryl Sumner (James); step children Laura Ward (Robin), and Allison Seymour (Mark); grandchildren Chris Dupriest (Laken), Alex Dupriest, Zachary Dupriest, Rebecca Sumner, Will Sumner, Ashton sailors (Kiersten), Robert Seymour (Macy), Will Seymour, and Sydney Seymour; great grandchildren Kylie Dupriest, Summer Dupriest, Bradley Dupriest, Emmy Smithwick, Lakyn Smithwick, and Parker Sailors. He was preceded in death by his parents and stepson, Robbie Caldwell.

Services will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at 2 pm at Allen & Allen Funeral Home. A visitation will be held on Friday, September 4, 2026, from 5 - 7 pm at Allen & Allen Funeral Home.
