David John Huneau, a beloved husband and Navy veteran, peacefully passed away on September 1, 2024, at his home in Thomasville, GA. Born on November 28, 1943, in Cohoes, NY, he was the son of the late David Joseph Huneau and Helen Ashworth Huneau.
David pursued a career as a dedicated truck driver in the trucking industry, working for ABS Freight for many years until his retirement. His commitment and hard work earned him respect among his colleagues and Teamsters Union that he was a proud member of.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, David was a devoted husband to his loving wife of 59 ½ years, Arlene Huneau. Their bond was a testament to love, understanding, and unwavering support throughout the years.
David John Huneau will be remembered for his kindness, his dedication to his work, and the love he shared with all who knew him. He was a very creative woodworker and enjoyed making different wood creations and giving them to family and friends.
Survivors include his wife Arlene Ella Huneau of Thomasville, Ga.; sons Dean Huneau and wife Melissa of Thomasville, Ga, Ryan Huneau of Pattersonville, NY; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; 2 brothers and 1 sister.
His family will hold a private service in his memory at a later date.
