Memorial services for David Franklin Kennedy, 81, of Thomasville will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2014 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Kennedy died on Dec. 27, 2014 in Thomasville, GA. Born January 5, 1933 in Sebring, Fla, he was the son of the late William Newton and Bannie Price Kennedy. He was married to Margie Louise Childree Kennedy, who survives. Mr. Kennedy was a retired installation supervisor from Western Electric. He was a member of the Thomasville Exchange Club, served as Deputy Assistant Coroner, on the Sheriff’s Posse and as a Bailiff. Other survivors include daughters, Debbie Kennedy Kirkland of Boston, Ga., Kathy Renee Wissing and her husband Steve of Pace, Fla. and a son Allyn Matthews Kennedy and his wife Nettie of Thomasville. Also surviving are grandchildren Keelan Jay Kirkland (Felicia), David Allyn Kennedy (Gerriann), Patrick Steven Wissing and his fiancé Kayla Hicks, Jacob Newton Wissing (Brittany); great grandchildren Jade Celine Kirkland, Abigail Reese Kennedy, Ava Castanoñ, Aubree Wissing, Rylee Wissing; a brother Jack Kennedy and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, P O Box 1201, Albany, Ga. 31702.
