David Lewis Kennedy

Services for David Lewis Kennedy, formerly of Thomasville, Georgia, will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, December 9, 2005 at First United Methodist Church where he was a member. The Rev. Leigh Ann Raynor, the Rev. Weymon Cleveland, and the Rev. Bob Dixon will officiate and interment will be in
Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mr. Kennedy died December 6, 2005 in Rossville,
Georgia. Born June 11, 1920 in Montgomery, Alabama, he was the son of the late David Lee and Theressa Mae Neal Kennedy. On May 15, 1948 in Waycross, Georgia, he married Mary Frances Davis Kennedy who survives. Mr. Kennedy
served in the United States Air Force during World War II. He was
auditor-in-charge for the Inspector General's office for FEMA, Region 3. Mr. Kennedy was a member of the Thomasville Shrine Club, Thomasville Masonic
Lodge, served as treasurer of First United Methodist Church trustees, and served as President of the Sue McTier Sunday School Class. Other survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, David Arthur and Laura Thompson Kennedy
of Thomasville, Lewis Stephen and Cheryl Miller Kennedy of Cartersville, daughter and son-in-law Kathryn Teressa Kennedy Parrish and John Alvin Parrish of Chickamauga, Georgia; brother, William Bill Joseph Kennedy of
Waycross, Georgia; grandsons, John Heath Parrish, David Jared Parrish, Stephen Caleb Kennedy, and granddaughter, Mary Kathryn Katie Parrish. Pallbearers are John Booth, Jesse Booth, Barry McNitt, Fred Bass, Carlton
Parrish, and Ron Dixon. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. The family will receive friends at the Allen and Allen Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, December 8, 2005. Visitors may sign the online guest register at www.allenfh.com .
