David Timothy "Tim" Stephens

Graveside services for David Timothy “Tim” Stephens of Thomasville will be held at 4:00PM on Saturday January 30, 2021, in Laurel Hill Cemetery on Georgia Street with Pastor Mike Nichols officiating. Mr. Stephens passed away on Thursday January 28, 2021, at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born on June 21, 1940, in Thomasville, he was the son of the late George Henry Stephens Sr. and Clydie Mae Tucker Stephens. He attended New Growth Baptist Church and was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing, hunting, and gardening. He also enjoyed hosting fish frys with family and friends. Mr. Stephens was a well-known building contractor and co-owner of Stephens Brothers Construction Co., and he built numerous commercial and residential buildings in the area. He married Patricia Delahanty Stephens on October 9, 1959, who survives. Other survivors include his daughters Laura Stephens Nichols and husband Mike of Cairo, Connie Stephens Robinson and husband Tim of Dixie, Tammy Stephens Griffin and husband Charles of Tifton; granddaughters Michelle Nichols Godwin (Matthew) and Rebecca Nichols Powe (Wes); grandsons Billy Griffin, Brian Griffin, and Chase Griffin; great granddaughters Zoe Godwin and Skye Godwin; brother George H. Stephens Jr. of Thomasville; sister Anna Laura Ragan of Thomasville. He was preceded in death by his siblings Paul Wesley Stephens and Vesta Stephens Phelps.
