With deep sadness, the family of Debbie Lorann NeSmith announces her passing on September 18, 2026. Born on July 3, 1963, in Jacksonville, Florida, to the late Hubert and Marylin Newsome, Debbie was raised in Thomasville, Georgia, where she cultivated a vibrant spirit and a love for home and family. As a devoted homemaker, she found joy in decorating and remodeling her home, bringing beauty and warmth to her surroundings. She welcomed anyone in need, taking in strays and offering shelter and support.
Debbie was passionate about spending time with her grandchildren, creating cherished memories through laughter and love. Dancing was one of her many joys.
Debbie is survived by her loving children: Casey Stevens (Antonio) of Clarksville, TN, Ashley Barber of Thomasville, and Brandy NeSmith of Thomasville. She leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Desja Wilson, Shatorrie Newkirk, Aleah Stevens, Jasmine Stevens, and Antonio Stevens Jr. of Clarksville, TN, along with Alexis Barber, Jordyn Johnson, Demya Robinson, Mikya NeSmith, and Ny'Jiah Robinson of Thomasville. Debbie also cherished her ten great-grandchildren and her sister, Tammy Hires (Tony). She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Randal Newsome and Gena Newsome.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at 11 AM at Allen and Allen Funeral Home, with Sandra Woodrow officiating. Interment will follow at Big Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. A visitation will take place on Monday, September 21, 2026, from 5 to 7 PM at Allen and Allen Funeral Home. Pallbearers will include Antonio Stevens, Alvin Barber, Shonn Johnson, Brandon Brady, Scott Burton, and Steven Highslop.
Debbie's kindness, creativity, and love will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all whose lives she touched.
