Delores June Travis

Services for Delores June Travis, 88, will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, February 01, 2014 at Morningside United Methodist Church. The Rev. Allen Hartsfield will officiate and interment will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Travis passed away January 29, 2014 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born June 11, 1925, in Birch, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of the late William Henry Blood and Lydia Ruth Spaulding Blood. Mrs. Travis was married on April 19, 1947 to James O. Travis, who preceded her in death. She enjoyed church activities, reading and time with family. She enjoyed baking cakes and pies and was known for her red velvet cakes. Mrs. Travis also enjoyed reading her Bible and read through it three times. Survivors include daughter Marsha Graham and husband Thomas; son James Edwin Travis; grandchildren Lela Allen and husband Jay, Jason Faircloth and wife Lindsey, Jim Faircloth, Jessica Lynn Travis, James Joshua Travis; great grandchildren Hannan Allen, Eli Allen, Marissa Adkins, Grayson Faircloth, Emory Faircloth, Samuel Faircloth. She was preceded in death by children Lorraine Joyce Travis, Guy Francis Travis, Virginia “Ginger” Ann Travis Young; sisters Mabel Horni, Virginia Foss, Carol Shultz and Thelma Buccannon; brothers Hank Blood, George Blood, Donald Blood and Victor Blood. The family will receive friends and family from 5:00PM to 7:00PM on Friday, January 31, 2014 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home. Guest may sign the online register at www.allenfh.com .
