Delphy Ricks Lane

Funeral services for Delphy Ricks Lane of Thomasville will be held Friday, January 3, 2003 at the Northside Baptist Church at 2:00PM. The Rev. Cecil Harrison will officiate and interment will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Lane died Tuesday, December 31, 2002 at Archbold Memorial Hospital.She was a member of Northside Baptist Church, a member of the Rose City Bowling League, a member of the One Club at Thomasville High School and an avid Thomasville Bulldogs Fan. Mrs. Lane worked at Sunnyland in the Sausage Dept., was a seamstress and a private sitter. She was born in Colquitt County November 28, 1923 and was the daughter of the late James B. Ricks and Lillie Maye Pope. She was married to Edward Thomas Big Boy Lane who survives. Other survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Kelly Pilkinton of Coolidge; son, Lawson Von Pilkinton of Hawaii and daughter, Kitty P. Singletary of Coolidge; brothers, Andrew J.A.J. Ricks of Moultrie and James B. Ricks, Jr. of Moultrie and a sister, Madelyn Cheek of Cumming Ga; and grandchildren, Page Whittington of Santa Ana, CA; Danny Singletary of Thomasville; Ramona Drury of Coolidge; Renee Sheffield of Ochlocknee; Scott Singletary of Thomasville; Christina Jones of VA; Vonnie Pilkinton of VA; Dana Pilkinton of Cool Springs; Sherri Moore of Thomasville; Pam Pilkinton of Thomasville; Lee Singletary of Ochlocknee; Brad Pilkinton of Coolidge; and Avis Pilkinton of Kansas; 22 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by sisters, Lorece Taylor, Johnnie Ricks Clark and Virginia Edge, Brothers, Julius Ricks and a granddaughter, Tia Pilkinton.
