Denise Miller

Denise Miller, 52, of Pavo, Georgia passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, May 14, 2021. She was born on August 21, 1968 to the late Willis Abram “Bill” Bozeman and Belma Bozeman who survives her. On January 22, 2000 she married James Miller, who survives and together they have two children and one grandchild. She worked at Stone's for over 20 years and did a number of different jobs within the company and was their bookkeeper before she became sick with cancer. Denise loved her family, her church family, and her friends. She was always kind-hearted, had a smile for anyone she'd meet and would do anything for anyone. It was no surprise that she easily assumed the role of pastor's wife with such dignity and grace about five years ago at Merrillville Baptist Church of Coolidge, GA alongside her husband. Prior to that Denise and James attended Antioch Baptist Church where she worked tirelessly within the church, whether it was helping with the children's class, VBS, women's group, singing in the choir, or cooking meals. She was always willing to do whatever she could because she loved God and loved His people. She also loved the beach and every year she'd travel to the sandy seashore and enjoy time spent with her family and her best friend, Alison Barrow and her family. Denise was a good cook but if she could get James to take her to eat Mexican food then she was an extra happy girl. Denise was preceded in death by her father, Willis “Bill” Bozeman, her brother, Dennis Bozeman, and her brother-in-law, Doug Riggs. She is survived by her husband, James Miller, her mother, Belma Bozeman, her daughter, Sarah Roberts (Clint), her granddaughter, Raelynn Rose Roberts, and her son, Clifton Miller. She is also survived by her brother, Doyle Bozeman (Betty Ann), her sister, Diane Riggs, her sister-in-law, Linda Bozeman, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family would like to express their gratitude to Melissa, Denise's hospice nurse, who helped the family and Denise so much through this time of transition. Visitation will be at Allen & Allen Celebration of Life Chapel on Monday, May 17, 2021 from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. The funeral will be 'closed casket' at Antioch Baptist Church in Pavo, GA on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.
