Denise Lorraine Simpson

Denise Lorraine Simpson, age 70, of Thomasville passed away on August 14, 2023, at Archbold Memorial Hospital. She was born in Jacksonville on April 4, 1953, to the late Hilbron Waldron and Miriam Krain. Denise retired as a manager from Bellsouth Telecommunications Company. She enjoyed watching British sitcoms, reading, and anything that her grandchildren or great-grandchildren were interested in. She appreciated receiving messages and photos from her lifelong friends and work family. Denise’s love for the Florida Keys, fishing from the boat, and wanting to be at the beach never wavered. Survivors include her daughter Layla Corley (Craig) of Duluth, GA; granddaughters Sydney Cronan-Slaughter of Social Circle, Ga, and Shea Corley of Duluth, GA; siblings Janice Ringo (George) of Indialantic, FL, Tim Waldron (Dawn) of Maui, HI, and Donna Davis of Thomasville, GA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years Richard Simpson, step-father George Krain, twin brothers Otis and Olin Waldron, sister Linda Durrance, brother-in-law Larry Simpson, and nephew Eric Davis. Denise’s Cremations will be interned at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Titusville, FL as well with a scattering along favorite Atlantic intercoastal water ways in Florida.
