Dennis M. Wilcox

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dennis M. Wilcox, who left us on May 21, 2026, at the age of 74. Dennis was born on January 7, 1952, in Thomasville, Georgia, and spent his final years in Pelham, Georgia. He was a call representative with Humana and also worked as a graphic artist with Seminole Print Company.

Dennis had a spirit for adventure and enjoyed traveling, with the Panama Canal and China being among his favorite destinations. He also had a passion for surfing, which brought him joy and excitement throughout his life.

He is survived by his half-brother, Timothy Lane of Clearwater, Florida; cousins, Kimberly McLendon, Amy McLendon, Sandy Dunlap, Karen Dunlap, Sue Dunlap, Randy Dunlap, and Phyllis Forsythe; niece, Valerie Barfield; and sister-in-law, Jennifer Lane. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents Carl Willard Wilcox Sr., and Cornelia Annie Dunlap, brother, Carl Wilcox Jr.; sister, Wanda Taft; brother Joey Lane; and several beloved cousins, including Doris Dunlap, Alton Scott Dunlap Jr., and Terry Dunlap. He was also preceded in death by uncles Alton Scott Dunlap Sr., Wheeler Bonner Dunlap, and Ollie Dunlap, as well as his aunt Jeannette Dunlap.

Services will be held on at 10 am on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Allen & Allen Funeral Home's Celebration of Life chapel.
