Diane C. Faircloth-Bridges

December 23, 1950 — April 1, 2025

Diane Faircloth-Bridges, died peacefully on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at Pelham Parkway Nursing Home in Pelham, GA where she had resided for several years.
A graveside service of remembrance for Mrs. Faircloth-Bridges will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at 11:00 AM on 13th Street in Laurel Hill Cemetery in Thomasville, GA. A long-time family friend, the Reverend Mike Everson, will officiate.

Mrs. Faircloth-Bridges was a Christmas baby, being born on December 23, 1950 in Thomasville, GA. Subsequently, her favorite time of the year was Christmas, and she looked forward to celebrating the holidays reuniting with her many cousins. She enjoyed being an only child for eight years, but was thrilled at the birth of her baby brother in 1958. Unfortunately, his accidental death in 1960 had a profound and lasting impact on her life.

Due to her dad’s employment, she moved quite frequently during her school-age years, attending schools in Tallahassee FL, and in Thomasville and Macon GA. She was a good student and excelled in gymnastics. She graduated from high school in Memphis TN in 1969. As an adult, she lived in Dallas TX, and in Macon, Pelham and Meigs GA. She completed training as an Emergency Medical Technician and worked for several medical services and facilities, including the Medical Center of Central Georgia.

She is survived by aunts, Daphne Faircloth Collins of Boston GA and Susan Annette Grubb Quiggins Barden of Valdosta GA; and many Faircloth and Barden cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Joe Bridges; her parents, Emerald G. and Betty Barden Faircloth; her brother, Emerald G. “Bubba” Faircloth Jr.; and Grandparents, Albert and Trudy Mock Faircloth, and Jim and Llena Mae Scales Barden.

The Faircloth and Barden families are grateful to the staff at Pelham Parkway Nursing Home for their professional care and compassion extended to Mrs. Faircloth-Bridges during her residency there.
