Diane Satterfield Freeman

Funeral services for Diane Louise Satterfield Freeman of Cairo will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday September 7, 2016 in the chapel of Allen & Allen Funeral Home with Brother Eric Rathel officiating. Interment will be in Crestview Cemetery in Cairo. Mrs. Freeman passed away Saturday September 3, 2016 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born on September 22, 1953 in Centre, Al. she was the daughter of the late Monroe Satterfield and Gertrude McCurley Satterfield. Mrs. Freeman was a wonderful person who loved everybody. She enjoyed playing POGO on the computer and going to Bingo and the Casino with her sister Sarah. She also enjoyed collecting Indians and Eagles. Mrs. Freeman was married to Julius David Freeman who preceded her in death in 2010. Also preceding her in death are her siblings Frances Hardigree, Geneva Teeter, Sarah Lipscomb, Mary Satterfield, and J.M Satterfield. She is survived by her sons David Freeman and his wife Kim of Albertville, Al, David Smith of Cairo; daughters Pamela Rathel and her husband Eric of Cairo, Angel Smith of Cairo; grandchildren Kaitlyn and Kaleb Freeman, Tre’ and Peyton Smith, Summer, Dasie, and Zachary Rathel, Isaiah and Malikye Smith; brother Maylon Satterfield and his wife Carol of Gadsden, Al.; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Mrs. Freeman’s family will greet family and friends prior to the service from 1:00 until 2:00PM.
