Services for Dolores Stewart Herring of Thomasville are at 10:00AM on Wednesday, August 11, 2004 at First United Methodist Church. Rev. Leigh Ann Raynor will officiate and interment will be in Ochlocknee Cemetery. Mrs. Herring died August 9, 2004 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born February 10, 1933 in Boston, GA, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Haines and Olee Voyles Stewart. On October 14, 1962 in Ochlocknee she married Everett Herring who survives. She was a retired accountant from McCollum and Simmons CPA and a retired hostess at First United Methodist Church. Mrs. Herring was a past president of Thomasville Garden Club, a member of Countess Vandal Garden Club, director of Thomasville Rose Society, past treasurer of United Methodist Women, member of Altar Guild at First United Methodist Church, Bronze Honor Medalist American Rose Society and a member of Circle number one United Methodist Women. Other survivors include a daughter, Kaye Herring Hahn, son-in-law, Rev. Douglas Hahn of Columbus, GA, brother, Charlie Haines Stewart, Jr. and sister-in-law, Pam Stewart of Longwood, FL and grandchildren, David and Avery Baggett. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 2790, Thomasville, GA 31799. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8PM on Tuesday.
