Graveside services for Donald Edward Singletary of Thomasville are at 10:00AM on Saturday, June 10, 2006 at Laurel Hill Cemetery on Arkansas Street. The Rev. Bob Dixon will officiate. Mr. Singletary died June 8. Born May 11, 1923 in Mitchell Co., GA he was the son of the late Shelton Riley and Mary Tucker Singletary. On December 23, 1941 in Thomasville he married Muriel Graham Singletary who survives. Mr. Singletary was a veteran of the United States Army-Air Force serving during World War II. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and was a retired automobile mechanic. Other survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Don and Patty Singletary of Albany, GA, Charles and Janice Singletary of Melrose, FL, daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Jim Hall of Thomasville, son-in-law, Nolan Brock of Lake Wales, FL; grandchildren, Teresa Vorous, Greg Brock, Riley Singletary, Ben Singletary, Justin Singletary, Molly Singletary, Jamie Howell, Brittany Howell; great grandchildren, Phillip Daniel, Brenda Wurth, Lindsey Brock; brothers, Bobby Singletary, Shell Singletary of Thomasville, sisters, Jean Smith of Coolidge and Mary Frances Fowler of Atlanta, GA. A daughter, Beverly Brock, preceded him in death. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Inc., P.O. Box 1201, Albany, GA 31702.
