Donald R. Milward passed away on September 8, 2022, at his home in Monticello, Fl. Donald was born on April 13, 1942, to the late Claude and Mary (Brakefield) Milward in Spokane, Washington. He graduated from North Central High School in 1961, then started working in fire restoration and cleanup. On June 16, 1962, Donald married the love of his life, Cathleen A. Conrad. In 1968 he moved to Yakima, Washington to pursue his career with Whiteside for approximately 12 years. Afterward, he returned to Spokane where he purchased and ran a Dairy Queen franchise with his wife from 1979 to 1989. He went back to fire restoration at Mr. Service until 2009, then worked at PAML until 2019. Donald enjoyed golf, bowling, playing slots, and sitting in the sunshine on the beach. He loved spending time with his friends and loved ones. He is survived by son Christopher Milward (Patricia) of Monticello, Fl., daughter Pam Aufenkamp (Tony) of Battle Ground, Washington, and daughter Laurie Schulte (Jim) of Spokane, Washington; grandchildren Justin Milward, Joshua Milward, Laurie Nicole Milward, Ashley Milward, Nicholas Aufenkamp, Ryan Aufenkamp, Mackenzie Lewis, Makayla Lewis, and Jake Lewis; and siblings Claudine Peters and Rodney Milward. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Cathleen Milward; brothers Jim and Stanley Milward, and sisters Shirley and Arlene Milward.
