With profound love and deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Donna Irene Brannan, age 73, who passed away in Thomasville, Georgia.

Donna was born on July 27, 1952, in Oceanside, San Diego County, California, and spent most of her childhood in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She lived in various parts of the US, spending most of her life in Thomasville, Georgia. Donna was very proud of Thomasville and loved it. She was the daughter of the late James Donald Edgemon and the late Patricia Craig Roberts.

Donna was a creative, funny, and endlessly interesting woman whose inner world was rich with imagination and depth. She loved art and found joy in painting, design, and beauty. She had an eye for color and expression and a deep appreciation for the beauty woven into everyday life.

She held a lifelong interest in art, history, human rights, feminism, and the Jewish faith- values rooted in justice, remembrance, and moral courage. These convictions shaped the way she saw the world and reflected the compassion she carried within her.

Donna served in the United States Army as a Nurses Aide. Throughout her life, she endured significant challenges. Though these hardships took much from her, they never erased her depth, sensitivity, or capacity for love. She continued to love, to create, to think, and to care.

Above all else, Donna was most proud of being a mother. She often said that having her children was the best thing she ever did- her greatest joy and accomplishment.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Mark Alan Brannan, in 2007.

She is survived by her daughter, Kimberley Capella Brannan of Thomasville, Georgia; her son, Maximilian Antares Brannan of Bainbridge, Georgia; her sister, Caryl Patrice (Edgemon) Napier and husband Joseph of Chickamauga, Georgia; and her brother, Steven Craig Edgemon of Rock Spring, Georgia; niece Carly Bateman of Nashville TN and nephew Robert Grace of Nashville, TN.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff of Archbold Living - Thomasville (formerly Glenmor) for the care, kindness, and dignity they provided Donna in her final years. A special thank you is extended to Paige Cochran, COTA, who shared a meaningful bond with Donna and brought comfort, encouragement, and warmth to her days.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2026, 3:30 PM at Allen & Allen Funeral Home in Thomasville, Georgia.

Donna's legacy of courage, compassion, and beauty will we live on in the lives she touched and the love she gave.
