Doris Moye Vick, 86 of Cairo passed away May 22, 2013 at Archbold Hospital. Born December 3, 1926 in Arcadia, FL, she was the daughter of the late Demond Moye and Geneva Williams Moye Willis. On July 12, 1943 she married William Rupert Vick who preceded her in death on May 29, 2008. Doris went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior with family and close friends by her side. She was greeted at the gates of Heaven by her husband and grandson. She was a member of Midway Baptist Church and was a great artist, avid gardener and loved her family. She is survived by her children, Chris Vick and wife Diane, Kathy Vick Cooper, Neva Dee Vick Stringer and husband Don all of Cairo; grandchildren, Candy Vick Godwin and husband Ken of Pelham, Chase Vick and wife Gail, Shawn Cooper and wife Penny, Hope Cooper Greene and husband Kyle, Dee Stringer Thomas and husband Dustin and Dori Stringer all of Cairo; great-grandchildren, Ashley Vick, Nicole Cooper, Blade Vick, Kinley Godwin, Cayton Godwin and Cooper Greene; sister, Jaunita Davis of Atlanta and special little friends, Sophie, P.J. and Sephen. She was preceded in death by grandson, Blair Stringer and brother, W.D. Moye. The family will receive friends at 1835 Old Thomasville Rd, Ochlocknee, Ga 31773.
