Doris Reece Hunter

Services for Doris Reece Hunter, 82, of Thomasville will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Allen and Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Henry Gainey will officiate. Mrs. Hunter passed away Saturday, February 18 at Camellia Gardens Nursing Home. Born May 4, 1929, in Moultrie, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Samuel S. Reece and Mittie Hatcher Reece. She was married to Francis Hunter who survives. Mrs. Hunter was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Chapel. Other survivors include daughter Sherry Wands and husband Charles of Satellite Beach, Fl., son Gary Hunter and wife Susan of Thomaston, Ga., four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren and brother Glen Reece of Thomasville She was preceded in death by her brother John Reece. The family will receive friends before the service from 1:30 till 2:00 on Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Meals on Wheels.
