Graveside services for Doris Stapel Bradner will be held at 2:00PM Monday, May 6, 2002 at Laurel Hill Cemetery on 17th Street. The Rev. Dan Spencer will officiate. Mrs. Bradner died Saturday, May 4, 2002 at Hospitality Care Nursing Home. She was born on Febuary 28, 1926 in Montgomery, Alabama. Mrs. Bradner was the daughter of Adolph Gearhardt Stapel and Mary Lardner Stapel. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and a 1944 Graduate of Thomasville High School. A lifetime resident of Thomasville, she was employed by Finney General Hospital, Horton Mitchell Wholesale Florist and later Singletarys Flower Shop. She is preceded in death by her husband, Norman Camp Bradner. Survivors include sons and daughter-in-laws, Richard and Lori Bradner of Andrews, N.C.; Phil and Sheila Bradner of Chesapeake, VA; and Larry and Donna Bradner of Duluth, Ga and a sister, Mary Langtry of Albany, Ga. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Jenna and Camp Bradner, Joe Griffith, Lance Bradner and John Bradner and Great Grandchildren, Misty and Kyle Griffith and L.J. and Kayla Bradner. She was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Smith of Louisville, Kentucky. The Family will receive friends at the Allen & Allen Funeral Home from 3:00PM-5:00PM Sunday.
