Doris Wilson Thornton

Funeral services for Doris Wilson Thornton are at 4:00PM on Monday at Dawson Street United Methodist Church. The Rev. Ramon Hernandez will officiate and interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Thornton died Sept 22, at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born November 23, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Oree Wilson & Alma Johnston Wilson Rabun. She was first married to Paul W. Knight and later to William T. Thornton both of whom preceded her in death. Mrs. Thornton was a retired secretary at Balfour Elementary School, and a member of Dawson Street United Methodist Church. She is survived by a son G.William Bill Knight of Atlanta, and grandchildren Bill Knight Jr., Margaret Knight, Carolyn Knight Boster, Leigh W. White, niece Forrest Roberts Massey and 6 great grandchildren. Also preceding her in death were a son Michael P. Knight, and a daughter, Gail K. White.
