Dorothy Barnett Campbell passed away Thursday morning October 30th at age 94.
She led a full life with her husband of 72 years, Roy Campbell. After his passing in 2023, she had a steady decline in her health and never regained the zest she had exuded her whole life. Her Family is at peace knowing they are back together again.
Dot was born in 1931 in Birmingham, Alabama and raised by her loving parents Hazel and Russell Barnett. She attended the University of Alabama, where she met, Roy, and married him in 1951. Their life together took them to Anchorage Alaska, Birmingham Al, Huntsville Al. Macon Ga. and eventually to their beloved home in Thomasville Ga.
Dot was a quiet, but strong and passionate woman who loved spending time with her family. When she smiled, it lit up a room. She laughed easily and would often laugh so hard it caused tears to run down her face. She absolutely loved sunsets and experienced each one like it was her first. She was a dedicated wife, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be missed! She is survived by her 3 daughters, Sharon Fiskus and husband Lewis Fiskus, Leesa Bone and husband Bill Bone and Pam Sewell and partner Anthony Catenacci. Grandchildren Samantha and Brad Gimble, Connor Sewell and Warren Fiskus. And great grandchild, Sierra Gimble.
Celebration of their lives will be Sunday, November 2 between 3:00-5:00 at Allen and Allen Funeral Home
And a graveside service on Monday, November 3 at 2:00 at Laurel Hill Cemetery on the Louisiana St.
