Dorothy Beaty Culp

Services for Dorothy Beaty Culp of Thomasville will be held at 11:00 am Friday, December 29, 2023 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Celebration of Life Chapel. Sean Jacobs will officiate. Mrs. Culp passed away peacefully on December 26, 2023 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born November 23, 1933 in Pavo, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late William Frank Beaty, Sr. and Winnie Ryall Beaty. She was married in 1957 in Thomasville to the late James (Jim) Culp. She worked as a seamstress her adult life and retired from Thomasville Home Furnishings. She was a member of the East Side Baptist Church.
She loved watching the Atlanta Braves, GA Bulldogs, fishing, gardening, and watching her hummingbirds. She was a devoted wife and mother and enjoyed making many wonderful memories with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by children, Jeff Culp (Becky) of Buena Vista, GA, Donna Whiddon (Randy) of Thomasville, Tina Glass (Robby) of Thomasville, Scott Culp (Cindy) of Pelham, GA, and Ben Westmoreland (Cecile) of Thomasville; 11 Grandchild ren; 7 Great Grandchildren and Sister, Maxine Prater of Carnesville, GA. She is preceded in death by parents, and brothers Clement Alderman, Myrle Beaty, Frank Beaty, Jr, Beverly Beaty, Jack Beaty, and sisters Kathrine Doane and Jean Doll. Visitation will be held Friday, December 29, 2023, 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Allen and Allen Funeral Home Chapel.
Dorothy will be laid to rest at Laurel Hill Cemetery (Tennessee Street) 901 Jackson Street, Thomasville GA 31792.
