Services for Dorothy J. Adams, 92 of Sevierville, TN will be held 2 pm, Sunday, January 8, 2012 at Glad Tidings Assembly of God, where she and her husband were members for many years before relocating to Tennessee. The Rev. Brent Welch will officiate and interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Adams passed away January 2, 2012 in Sevierville. She was born December 18, 1919 in Douglas, GA, she was the daughter of the late Harvey & Abby Strickland. She was married to Van B. Adams Pop for 63 years, who preceded her in death in 1998. Survivors include her children Betty Haller and husband John, Loette Adams, Dale Hall, Rocky Adams and wife Denise, Curtis Adams and wife Debbie; grandchildren, Robert Parrish, Jimmy Daniels, Johnny Daniels, Bart Barta, Beth King, Marty Adams, Scott Adams, Michelle Riddick, Monica Bennett, Thomas Bennett, Coleman Bennett, Timothy Sanderson, Christi Sanderson, Christopher Adams, Jackie Roche, Deanna Perdue, Sean Adams; 15 great grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; sister, Gail Peace and husband Jerry. She was preceded in death by sons, Edward T. Tub Adams and V. Thomas Adams and sister, Pauline Snyder. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm, Saturday, January 7 at the funeral home.
