Dorothy Marie Keegan

Dorothy “Dot” Marie Keegan passed away on June 29, 2018 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center. Born December 22, 1929 in Atlanta, GA, she was the daughter of the late Daniel Joseph and Cecelia M. LaPrairie Keegan. She graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Atlanta and attended Georgia State. Miss Keegan had a degree in certified records management. She worked as a systems analyst in record management for Cysco. She then worked for the office of the Secretary of the State of Georgia, retiring after 22 years as an Outstanding Citizen of Georgia. She was a member of the Thomasville Travel Club, Pilot Club, Rose City Garden Club, Canasta Club, Rose City Red Hatters and the Council of Catholic Women. Survivors include sisters, Patricia Keegan Miller of Moultrie, GA, Ellyn Keegan Casey of Carmel, IN as well as multiple nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert O. Keegan.
