Dorothy Elaine Lanfair

Dorothy "Elaine" Collins Lanfair, 84, of Thomasville, passed away on March 31, 2026, at Archbold Medical Center. Elaine was born on April 22, 1941, in Mitchell County to the late Roy and Doris Collins.

Elaine married the love of her life, Billy D. Lanfair, on October 16, 1960, in Meigs, and shared over 65 wonderful years of marriage together. Elaine and her husband were devoted members of Meigs Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Billy D. Lanfair; son-in-law Cecil McCann of Thomasville; grandchildren, Amanda W. Hobbs (Timothy Jr.), Allison W. Barwick (Corey), and CJ McCann (Kara); great-grandchildren, Kennon Barwick, Kailyn Barwick, Kaleb Hobbs, Alessa Hobbs, and Emma McCann; and sister Dale Bush of Thomasville and brother-in-law Hank Smidt of Tallahassee.

Elaine is preceded in death by her daughter, Sonni Lanfair McCann, son Joey D. Lanfair, brother Charles O. Collins, sister-in-law Gayle Smidt, and her parents.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at 11 am at Meigs Sunset Cemetery with Pastor James Miller officiating. A visitation will be held on Friday, April 3, 2026, from 5 - 7 pm at Allen & Allen Funeral Home.
