Services for Dorothy U. Wheeler of Cordele, GA are at 3:00PM on Monday, October 4, 2004 at Allen & Allen Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Carl Howard and the Rev. Billy Majors will officiate and interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are grandsons, Michael Hand, Brett Hand, Josh Pollock, Cal Pollock, Rob Wheeler, Ethan Lovett and Wheeler Lovett. Mrs. Wheeler died October 1, 2004 in Cordele, GA. Born June 3, 1923 in Reno, GA she was the daughter of the late William H. and Della J. Ulm. On August 18, 1940 she married Kenneth E. Wheeler, Sr. who preceded her in death. She was a member of Dawson Street Methodist Church. Mrs. Wheeler was a homemaker and the owner operator of Wheeler?s Christmas Tree Farm in Thomasville, GA. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Larry Hand of Greenville, SC, daughter, Marilyn Osborn, daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Robert Pollock all of Lake Blackshear, GA, son and daughter-in-law, Ken, Jr., and JoAnn Wheeler of Dacula, GA, daughter and son-in-law, Della and Jeff Lovett of Cairo, GA, grandsons, Michael and Robin Hand of Gainesville, VA, Brett and Amy Hand of Marshalltown, Iowa, Josh and Melissa Pollock of Leesburg, GA, Cal and Malinda Pollock of Albany, GA, granddaughter, LouEllen and Mike Marlatt of Kaiserslaughtern, Germany, grandsons, Rob Wheeler of Dacula, GA, Ethan Lovett, Wheeler Lovett, granddaughter, Madeleine Lovett all of Cairo and three great grandchildren. Five brothers and three sisters preceded her in death. The family request memorials to be made to the donor?s local Hospice Care Organization or to the Albany Community Hospice Organization.
