Graveside services for Douglas Andrew Dekle of Thomasville are at 4:00PM on Tuesday, March 14, 2005 Big Ochlocknee Cemetery. The Rev. Lee Waller will officiate. Mr. Dekle died Mar. 13 at Woodleaf Retirement Center. Born May 17, 1921 in Colquitt Co., GA he was the son of the late Ross and Dora Horne Dekle. On July 31, 1947 he married Ethel Batten Dekle who preceded him in death. Mr. Dekle was a World War II veteran of the United States Navy serving on the ship USS Indiana. He was lifetime resident of Thomas County, GA and was self-employed. Mr. Dekle was a member of the Thomasville Masonic Lodge #369. Survivors include his sister and brother-in-law, Barbara Ann and Dudley F. Dixon of Thomasville; several nieces and nephews and seven great nieces and nephews. A brother, Curtis Dekle and niece Naomi Lee Dixon preceded him in death. Visitors may sign the online guest register at www.allenfh.com .
