A memorial service for Randall Blair Garber, M.D., of Thomasville will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 2, 2010, at the Allen & Allen Funeral Chapel, with Dr. Henry Gainey officiating. Dr. Garber died on Monday, March 29, 2010, at Archbold Memorial Hospital. He was 59 years old.
Born February 1, 1951 in Baltimore, Maryland, Dr. Garber was the son of Robert W. Garber and the late Doris Garber. He is survived by his father and stepmother, Beverly; his children, Kendall Garber, Brent Garber Renée, and Drew Garber; his loving caregiver and mother of his children, Laura Garber; sisters Dana Gill Buddy, Lisa Rayl Terry, and Brenda Thurston; and other beloved family and friends.
Moving to Thomasville in 1988, Dr. Garber was a primary care physician and Director of the Archbold Urgent Care Center for 14 years before retiring in 2002, and dedicated his life to the service of others. In recent years, he enjoyed gardening and spending time with friends and family. He was a loving father, husband, son, and brother, and will be dearly missed.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the American Diabetes Association, where an Always & Forever Tribute Fund has been established in Dr. Garber?s name.
