Funeral services for Enoch Edward Ed Cook of Boston, will be at 3:00 PM on Tuesday August 17, 2004 at Allen & Allen Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Bob Mathews officiating. Interment will be in Boston Cemetery. Mr. Cook died August 13, 2004 at his residence. Born on August 3, 1916 in Boston, Ga., he was the son of the late Edward Cook and Jane Vann Cook. He was a veteran of the United States Army surving in the Pacific during World War II. Mr. Cook was the former owner of Cook Hardware in Boston and was a member of the Boston Presbyterian Church and the Audubon Society. He loved wildlife, reading and music and contributed greatly to the people of Boston and was loved by his family. Survivors include his cousins Emily Jane Polly Ingram of Boston and Atlanta, Dr. E.J. Vann Jr. of Vero Beach, Fl., Martha Vann Wright of Daytona Beach, Fl., Ernest C. Herring of Harlem, Ga.; sister-in-law Evelyn Harmon Cook of Alcoa, Tn; nieces Mary Moore Gross of Alcoa, Tn., Jane Cook Simpson of Bartlett, Tn., Andrea Cook Masvidal of Lenoir City, Tn.; 5 great nephews and 2 great nieces; special life long friend Patti Carson of Boston. He was preceded in death by his sister Janet Vann Cook and brother Roger Lawson Cook. Donations may be made to the Boston Carnegie Public Library, the Boston Presbyterian Church or to the wildlife chariety of your choice. The family will recieve friends on Monday evening from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home. Guest may sign the online register book at www.allenfh.com .
