Edgar Harrison

Edgar Onzelo Harrison of Cairo, Georgia, passed away at home from natural causes on Saturday, October 19, 2025. Edgar was born on February 3, 1939, to Mr. Charlie Harrison and Romeo Sessions. He graduated from Leon High School in 1957 and served four years in the United States Navy. In 1963, Edgar married his beloved wife, Margarette Andrews of Cairo, Georgia, and the pair went on to have five children. With his wife's loving encouragement, Edgar became a used car salesman for Alford Chevrolet and later opened his own business in 1985, Ed Harrison Auto Sales Inc. of Tallahassee, Florida.

Edgar is survived by his only living son, Edgar O Harrison Jr, and his wife, Sylvia Rebecca Harrison. Mr. Harrison is also survived by his three grandchildren: Christopher Harrison, Tiffany Hinchy and her husband Matthew, and Cody Harrison. Edgar was a loving grandfather to his six great-grandchildren, listed from oldest to youngest: Novalee, Christopher Jr., Jackson, Maegan, Lilith, and Sebastian. He will be greatly missed. The family will have a "remembrance ceremony" on January 31, 2026, at Pine Hill Baptist Church to honor both Edgar and Margarette's lives. The time will be announced at a later date.
