Services for Edith Marie Vonier,83, of Thomasville will be at 2:00PM on Thursday, April 25, 2002 at Allen & Allen Funeral Chapel. Rev. Dr. Milton Gardner will officiate with interment in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Vonier died April 22, 2002 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born July 25, 1918, she was the daughter of Maggie Davis and James Oscar Jones. Mrs. Vonier was a member of First Baptist Church and had resided in Thomasville all her life. She attended Thomasville Public Schools. On Feb. 7, 1934 she married William B. Vonier who passed away on March 6, 1990. She was a homemaker and assisted her husband for many years in the grocery business. She was a loving wife & mother. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, William Jack and Marigene Vonier of Thomasville and Wallace B. & Peggy Vonier of Cairo, GA; sisters, Mrs. Leone DuFrane of Thomasville, Betty Davis of Fort Worth, TX., Joan Gay of St. Petersburg, Fl., Myrtice Shedd of Lake City, Fl.; grandchildren,William Mark Vonier, Connie Elizabeth Selva, Karen Vonier, Janice Teresa Simmons, William Jack Vonier, Jr., Kristin Amanda Vonier, Colby Austin Vonier, Wallace B. Vonier, Jr., Teresa White and Christina Vonier, 13 great grandchildren, numerous cousins, nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, J. O. Jones, Jr., Bobby Jones & a sister, Margie Hannah. Memorial may be made to the First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 2790, Thomasville, GA 31799. The family will receive friends at Allen & Allen Funeral Home on Wednesday from 7-9PM. Visitors may sign the online guest register at www.allenfh.com
