Graveside services for Edna Faye Ryan Burns of Boston are at 2:00PM on Friday, January 23, 2004 at Boston Cemetery. Rev. Tim Phillips will officiate. Mrs. Burns died January 21, 2004 in Douglas, GA. Born September 13, 1920 in Prentiss, Miss., she was the daughter of the late Robert Clarence and Lizzie Jane Boren Ryan. On October 8, 1938 in Mississippi she married Arthur D. A.D. Burns who preceded her in death. Mrs. Burns attended Boston Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She was a former employee of Joan Art Mills. Survivors include a son, Arthur David Burns of Faceville, GA., daughter and son-in-law, Kathie and Stanley Blow of Douglas, Ga., grandchildren, Paul and Belinda Whiddon, Brian and Ginger Whiddon, Marcy and Ron Reagin, Dallas Burns; great grandchildren, Ryan Whiddon, Caitlin and Cameron Whiddon, Emily Kate and Reed Reagin; brother, Robert Ryan of Boston, GA.; sisters, Barbara Newell of Dixie, GA. and Ann Womble of Thomasville. She was preceded in death by a infant son, infant daughter, infant granddaughter and brother, Randall Ryan. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 7-9PM.
