Edna Lynn Griffin

Graveside services for Edna Lynn Griffin, 92, of Waynesboro were held Thursday, February 25, 2016, at 3:00PM in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Griffin passed away on February 22, 2016 at Burke Medical Center in Waynesboro, Georgia. Born November 1, 1923 in Thomasville, she was the daughter of the late Luther D. and Annie Bernice Carter Edmonds. On January 26, 1943 in Thomasville, she married Robert Horton Griffin, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Griffin was a church and choir member of Dawson Street Methodist Church for over 60 years. She enjoyed reading, puzzles, word games and her beloved cat Jack. Survivors include her daughter Sandra L. Griffin of Waynesboro, Georgia; son Robert Horton Griffin of Thomasville; grandchildren Robert Hunter Parrish III and wife Denise of Waynesboro, Georgia, Nancy Parrish Carter and husband Eric of Atlanta, Georgia, Diana Lynn Griffin of Fleming Island, Florida, Dana Lynda Dotson of Middleburg, Florida; ten great grandchildren; brother William Edmonds and wife Ann of Warner Robins, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her brother Luther D. Edmonds, grandson Baby Boy Griffin, and granddaughter Lydia Griffin Haydu.
