Edna June NeSmith passed away on August 7, 2026. She was born July 30, 1935. She attended Pavo School.
She was ninety-one years old, but "young at heart"; forever young. She was a very special daughter, sister, cousin and aunt. She knew how to enjoy life; always looking forward, never back. She was a people person - always enjoyed and wanted to be around others. She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed laughter. She had a lot of inner strength; life was not always easy, but she never complained. She loved music and she enjoyed different genres; Amazing Grace was a favorite hymn. She was a big Elvis fan. In her early years, she could identify vehicles (make and model), knew the birthdays of family, but also many in the entertainment industry.
A song that was a favorite and she even sang days before she passed away was: You are My Sunshine; and she was a ray of sunshine and provided many memorable moments for her family.
She is survived by her sister, Sharyn Sherman, Easley, SC. Three special nieces (Alanna Clay Suber, Michel Turner and Hollie Vollmar), several great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her dad, J. B. NeSmith; mother, Vera Howell NeSmith; brother, John Larry NeSmith, and sister, Ruth Clay.
A special thanks to Camellia Gardens where she made friendships and was a resident in her last years.
Private services to be held at a later date.
