Funeral services for Edward Claude Parramore of Thomasville, will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, Oct. 6, 2003 at Big Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. DeWitt Rehberg and Rev. Jimmy Bryson officiating. Interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Travis Shepherd, Greg Shepherd, Neel Parramore, Mark NeSmith, Richard Parker, Ken Wheeler. Honorary pallbearers are Waylon Thompson, Gene Carlton, Bobby Shepherd, George Mathis, Andrew Poulos, Vernon NeSmith, Wayne Dollar, Pascal Jones, Wayne Parramore, Judge Roy Lilly, Tom Rice, "Buddy" Mose Walden, Jeff Willis, Stamat Sampson, James NeSmith. Mr. Parramore died Friday, October 3, 2003 at his residence. He was born on July 22, 1928 to the late James Edward Parramore and Lorene Redfern Parramore. Mr. Parramore was a member of Big Creek Baptist Church and was a life long resident of Thomas County and graduated from Thomasville High School in 1945. He purchased the family farm with his father in 1947 and continued to farm until he "Physically" retired in 1995. During this time he was awarded the Farmer of The Year and Water and Soil Conservation Man of the Year. He also was Chairman of the Round Table at the Plaza Restaurant. On January 22, 1949 he married Janet DuPre who survives of Thomasville. Other survivors include sons and daughter-in-law Dayne and Carol Parramore and Dale and Jamie Parramore; daughters and sons-in-law Abbie and Bill Barwick all of Thomasville, and Teri and Mike Hourihane of Orange Park, Fl.; Grandchildren Janie Atkinson Owens, Kyrstal Atkinson, Carol Barwick, Matthew Parramore, Sara Parramore, Kaitlin Parramore, Cory Parramore; Great Grandchild Jordan Boatright. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3 to 5 PM at the funeral home. Guests may sign the online guest book at www.allenfh.com .
