Edward Jerome Elford

Mr. Edward Jerome Bud Elford, 89, passed away May 4, 2012 at his home in Thomasville, GA. Born December 8, 1922 in Oneida, NY he was the son of the late George Elford and Margaret Baird Elford. He was married to Martha Neel Stringer Elford, who survives. Mr. Elford was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving in the Pacific Theater. He worked as a sales representative for Oneida Silverware. Mr. Elford was a member of the United States Professional Golf Association and was head professional at Blue Hills Country Club in Kansas City, MO. Special interests included Ducks Unlimited and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. Other survivors include his children, Peter & Michele Elford, Margaret & Brad Hoag, Susan Macardini and Sarah Richardville, all of Grand Rapids, Michigan; 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. There will be a private service for the family on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at the First Presbyterian Church in Thomasville with a reception to follow at 11:00am in the church Fellowship Hall.
