Edward Douglas Pilcher, 72, of Nashville, Ga passed away on December 29, 2022, at his residence. Services will be held Monday, January 2, 2023, at 11 AM at First Baptist Church of Thomasville with Rev. Keith Stewart officiating. Mr. Pilcher served as the head coach at Early County, Thomas County Central, Bainbridge, and Berrien County. He also served as the head baseball coach in Florida at Marianna and Cocoa High Schools. In addition, Coach Pilcher has served with the Georgia Athletic Directors Association and the Board of Directors and was President of the Georgia Athletic Coaches Association. He was a member of the Thomasville/Thomas County Hall of Fame as well as the Georgia Athletics Coaches Hall of Fame. Coach Pilcher was also a member and deacon of First Baptist Church of Thomasville, Bainbridge, and Nashville. Survivors include his wife of almost 53 years, Lorraine Pilcher of Nashville, Ga; daughters, Becky Pilcher of Nashville, Ga, and Michelle Harrell (Tracy) of Blakely, Ga; sons, Billy Pilcher (Britney) of Thomasville, Ga, and Doug Pilcher of Lexington, Ky; brother, John Pilcher (Joy) of Anthony, Fl; sister, Anne Tayman (Bob) of Gloucester, Va; grandchildren, Kaylon (Brittany) Harrell, Van Harrell, Bethany Davis, Nathan Davis, Lori Osborne, Megan Osborne, Carrie Anne Osborne, Rosalie Pilcher, Liam Pilcher; great-grandchildren, AllyJo Harrell, Riley Harrell, Luna Harrell, and Ridge Harrell. He is predeceased by his parents William Joseph and Emery Pilcher and his daughter Christina Osborne. Donations can be made to D1 Life Foundation

Pallbearers will be Billy Pilcher, Doug Pilcher, Nathan Davis, Kaylon Harrell, Duke Harrell and Clay McCall. Honorary pallbearers will be his former coaches from his TCCHS family.
