A memorial service for Edwin Baldwin, 79, of Thomasville will be held 3 pm, Saturday, August 25, 2012 at St. Thomas Episcopal. Rev. Judy Jones will officiate. Mr. Baldwin passed away August 23, 2012 at Golden Living Center in Thomasville. Born September 30, 1932 in Pasadena, California; he was the son of the late Norman A. Baldwin and Hazel Fisher Baldwin. He was married to Florene Baldwin who survives. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. After retiring he worked as a Plant Manager and received a Bachelor's Degree from Oregon State University in General Science and Master's degree from Georgia Southern University in Industrial Technology. Before moving to Georgia, he was a member of Friends of the Library and Cactus Wren Garden Club in California. Mr. Baldwin was a member of St. Thomasville Episcopal Church. Other survivors include sons Darrel Baldwin and his wife Marsha from Mt. Joliet, Tennessee; Donald Baldwin from Anderson, Indiana; step-son Daniel Blow and wife Diane from Coolidge, Georgia; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and sister Lorraine Lund and husband Wally from Ogden, Utah. He was preceded in death by step-daughter Linda Lee Harto. A reception will follow the service in the Parish Hall. Friends and family may sign the online register at
