Services for Edwin Lawrence Goodwin, 84, of Thomasville, are at 4 p.m., Saturday, October 20, 2007 at Allen & Allen Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Jimmy Voyles will officiate. Mr. Goodwin died October 18, 2007 at Golden Living Center. Born October 1, 1923, in Trenton, New Jersey, he was the son of the late James and Harrietta Hess Goodwin. He was married to Sara Baker Goodwin who preceded him in death. Mr. Goodwin was a veteran of the United States Army. He enjoyed woodworking and drawing. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Laurie E. and Jackie Miller of Covington, Lamar and Faye Miller of Thomasville, and Dennis and Nancy Miller of Thomasville; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
