Services for Eleanor Taylor Hallman, 93, of Boston, Georgia, will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at Boston Presbyterian Church. The Reverend Donald J. West will officiate. Mrs. Hallman passed away on Monday, May 26, 2025 at Camellia Gardens of Life Care in Thomasville, GA.
Born on April 3, 1932, in Boston, GA, she was the daughter of the late Spengler and Eleanor Taylor. Mrs. Hallman graduated from Boston High School, Georgia Southwestern University, and Valdosta State University with an Education Specialist degree in Early Childhood Education and was a first-grade teacher with Thomas County Schools for 27 years. She was a member of Boston Presbyterian Church, where she served as an Elder and Clerk of Session for many years. Mrs. Hallman was married to Roy Rowan Hallman on August 6, 1950 and he preceded her in death after 63 years of marriage.
Mrs. Hallman is survived by her children and sons-in-law Virginia Fabro of Lethbridge, Alberta Canada, Judy Catrett and Craig Shuford of Buena Vista, GA, Eileen and Doug Mills of Thomaston, GA, Mark Hallman of Germany, Betty Hoskins of Boston, GA, and Joy and Vance Hurst of Boston, GA; grandchildren Alison Pilsner(Doug), Scott Fabro(Ashley), Chad Catrett(Ellen), Amanda Searcy(Walker), Kristen English(Nick), Taylor Hoskins, Jennifer Rayburn(Jeremy), and Alan Hurst(Amanda);18 great grandchildren; special niece Alice Durham of Boston, GA; nephews Bobby, Jerry, Mickey, and Boo Taylor of Boston, GA; several grand and great grand nieces and nephews; and special friends Lee Christian and the Christian family of Boston, GA and Daniel and Eloise Smith of Dixie, GA.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by sons-in-law Alan Fabro and Jimmy Hoskins; grandson Jesse Hoskins; brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Sandy Taylor, brother Lee Taylor, and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Spence and Frances Hallman.
The family will receive friends following the service in the sanctuary of the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made to Boston Presbyterian Church at P.O. Box 99, Boston, GA 31626, or Friends of Boston Cemetery, P.O. Box 492, Boston, GA 31626.
